Stronger Families. Stronger Communities. Stronger Washington

The death of George Floyd is a tragedy. Every American Citizen is equal under the law and should expect to be treated as such. The legal and judicial system must deliver justice. Unfortunately, the initial peaceful calls for justice were hijacked by violent extremists and turned into another tragedy, seeking to profit from pain and divide our Country.

America is our home. Washington is our home. We should expect and we deserve better. Violent Rioters must be brought to justice and law and order must be restored. We must not allow ourselves to fall victim to one side of the political and rhetorical wedge.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Floyd family, law enforcement and first responders, and to all the small businesses owners and families impacted by the violent lawlessness.
