Stronger Families. Stronger Communities. Stronger Washington

As your State Representative, I urged the majority, and spoke on the House Floor, to have all six Initiatives to the Legislature heard and passed. The six initiatives were signed by over 800,000 Washingtonians.

The Initiatives that passed include:

  1. Initiative 2113 would fully restore the ability of law enforcement officers to engage in vehicular pursuit.
  2. Initiative 2081 would establish a parental bill of rights, so that parents would have authority over their child’s school and medical records.
  3. Initiative 2111 would prohibit state and local personal income taxes in Washington state.

The Initiatives that will appear at the top of your ballot:

  1. Initiative 2109 would repeal the state’s new capital gains tax.
  2. Initiative 2124 would allow people to opt out of the new state-run, long-term-care program.
  3. Initiative 2117 would repeal the Climate Commitment Act, the state’s new carbon tax program.
  4. Initiative 2066 would prevent the State of Washington from banning the use of natural gas.

At the top of the ballot you will have the opportunity to support all three Initiatives. BUT, don’t forget the slate of Republicans on the ballot fighting for your rights.

Our state constitution clearly states that all political power is inherent in the people. The initiatives on the ballot are the people telling the Democrat majority in the Legislature and the past 40 years of Democrat governors that the State of Washington is going in the wrong direction. We need a balanced, accountable, and transparent government.
