Stronger Families. Stronger Communities. Stronger Washington

May 4th marks the beginning of “National Teacher Appreciation Week”! Teacher Appreciation Week is a week-long celebration in recognition of teachers and the contributions they make to education.

I want to thank all the teachers who have gone above and beyond this year to stay connected with our students, our families, and our community during COVID-19 and the Stay Home Order.

As a parent, I also want to congratulate all the parents, grandparents, older siblings, and adults who stepped into the role of ‘amateur teacher’ during a very difficult transition to help. Learning, what us parents call “new math” is no easy task- even when your wife is a math teacher! You deserve a part of National Teacher Appreciation Week!
