Rep. Peter Abbarno, R-Centralia, explains concerns with the state’s new long-term care insurance program (WA Cares Fund) and payroll tax that take effect Jan. 1, 2022. Abbarno has introduced legislation, House Bill 1594, to repeal the program and tax in the 2022 legislative session.
