The Centralia City Council allocated CARES Act money this year to organizations that have programs specifically designed to help families and businesses negatively impacted by COVID-19 and the Stay Home orders. Among the recipients, Gather Church received $75,000 for rental and utility assistance. There is money remaining for distribution.

The city wants our vulnerable community members sheltered during this tough time and help avoid eviction next year when the moratorium is lifted. It is not only the right thing to do, but the fiscally responsible thing to do.

The funds provide by the City to Gather Church help tenants avoid eviction, which also help landlords and property owners pay their expenses, taxes, and obligations; which have been largely overlooked or ignored by State and Federal government programs.

Tenants behind on rental payments or utility payments can contact Gather Church to receive assistance that directly goes to the intended recipient; the landlord or the utility service provider.

Interested Tenants should contact Gather Church on South Rock and Main Street in Centralia or call 360.827.0264 for assistance. The payments are made to the landlord and utility service provider so tenants are encouraged to have documentation of amounts owed and payee contact information.
