Stronger Families. Stronger Communities. Stronger Washington

Rep. Peter Abbarno, R-Centralia, joins Phil Vandervort on Seattle’s KVI Radio to discuss the 2021 remote legislative session, which adjourned Sunday, April 25.

Abbarno discusses taxes passed by majority Democrats, including a capital gains income tax, a low-carbon fuel standard and a carbon-pricing system that will boost fuel prices, as well as all goods and services. The 20th District lawmaker says Republicans fought hard to protect Washington’s working families from the tax scheme policies and stopped impactful legislation, but Democrats were able to get key pieces of their agenda to the governor.
