Stronger Families. Stronger Communities. Stronger Washington

Every election matters, but the 2026 Primary Election is especially important for the future of our communities and our state.

The choices we make today help determine the direction of Washington tomorrow. If we want Stronger Families. Stronger Communities. Stronger Washington., it starts with one simple but powerful act: voting.

Too often, primary elections are decided by a small percentage of eligible voters. That means a handful of ballots can shape the future for millions of Washingtonians. Whether your priorities are affordability, public safety, quality schools, reliable infrastructure, or growing our economy, your voice deserves to be heard.

I encourage every eligible voter to fill out and return your ballot as soon as it arrives. Voting early helps ensure your ballot is counted, reduces last-minute problems, and sends a clear message that Washington voters are engaged and paying attention.

  • July 17: Ballots are mailed, and the 18-day voting period begins.
  • July 27: Deadline for online and mail voter registration or updates.
  • August 4: In-person voter registration and voter updates available through Election Day.
  • August 4 (8:00 p.m.): Primary Election Day. Ballots must be deposited in an official ballot drop box by 8:00 p.m. or postmarked by Election Day.

Democracy works best when citizens participate. Every ballot represents a voice, a family, a neighborhood, and a community that cares about Washington’s future.

Let’s make our voices heard early, loudly, and respectfully. Return your ballot, encourage your family and friends to do the same, and help shape the future of our great state.

Together, we can continue building Stronger Families. Stronger Communities. Stronger Washington.
